Bootsy Collins Foundation:

Back in 1999 a voice came to me and said, "You've had your 15 minutes of fame, now it is time for you to pass it on to the youth of the world so that they can have theirs." The sole purpose of the BCF, is to allow kids of all backgrounds to be able to come and learn how to work together as I had to do being part of a band. Today they no longer have to do this, due to current technology, they can play by themselves and make money at it. There is nothing wrong with this concept, unless you throw the other concept out the window. We can bring people together if there are programs that teach our children this.

BCF wants to pool these programs and software together to educate and to bring people back together as a real trusting community. Okay, working with other people can sometimes be a headache, but in that headache there is a mighty blessing, the art of working as a team and a unit with the aim of becoming united. We are quickly taking the human feelings and touch out of our existence which means we could care less about how others feel, but in reality, caring for others is the very essence of our human experience. BCF is very concerned about this alienation of souls and wants to help put people back to the concept of working with each other. Whether it be physically or on the virtual highway, both are very important in how we continue to grow with love towards our fellow human beings. Without this we will continue our quest for total isolation.

The creative process works best when there is a relationship between a sender and a receptor, positive space and negative space are essential to create a reaction to a combustible groovy groove with a melody and a hip hot beat. Remembering the human experience, nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care, that is the human element that we must not forsake, that is what makes us human. We are very concerned about the well being of the Body, Soul and Mind. These values will help to replenish our future farmers and hall of famers on our great planet.

BCF will create opportunities to play whatever instrument a person chooses to play, from oboes, to guitars, to turntables, to Fruity loops, the idea is to do it in a setting that also allows one to make music with others, to feel someone else breathing in the room while they create and feel the sense of becoming united as a band or a group for a day. It is their choice, but it is up to us to help provide options and the tools needed to help break through the obstacles that they will face in this unforgiving life that we all have to endure.

We here at BCF are determined to grow with the times while bringing good times back into our future. Our youth need more reliable and respectable platforms to demonstrate their creative energies as this musical process continues to unfold so that they may look forward to their future and have some real fun while in the process.

"Say it Loud-An-Instrument-4-Every-Child." This program is designed for the preservation and education of past, present and future programs to keep our youth motivated and educated on a platform of music and how they can also become major players in this ongoing music arena. While building a circle of trust, they will learn the secrets of keeping music alive, while re-introducing themselves and their music to future generations to come.
